Do you "like" our page already? If so, don't forget to tell your friends.

But remember-- following us on Facebook doesn't change anything in itself-- we need people to send letters and emails to reinstate funding for LOUIS!

Also, Sorry about the long "SAVE LOUIS LSU LIBRARIES ELECTRONIC DATABASE" name-- Facebook will not let is change it. If any of you know how to change it, please post instructions on the wall!

Letter: Legislature should defend LOUIS

LSUS Librarian Carla Clark has written an opinion piece which has been published by The Advocate. You can read it here:

LOUIS was established precisely because many of our libraries could not afford to purchase the physical and virtual resources that this collaborative effort provides.

WRKF Baton Rouge reports

The LOUIS crisis has been reported on TV, newspapers, and ever radio! Here's an article and radio broadcast you can list to here:

Johnson says her school will pay more for LOUIS, but she's frustrated with the additional expense, "$20,000 to 25,000 thousand is what I'll be during this next year to provide my students with the same services that we used to get for $5,000 dollars a year."

This was made way back on August 4, 2010-- so this has been a problem for a while now.
